This is an incredibly thrilling time, and we are eagerly looking forward to getting to know you and learning all about your plans for your big day.
We understand that you have a lot on your plate, so we strive to keep things as straightforward as possible. Below, we outline the process we follow to ensure that designing your wedding cake with us is a joyful and memorable experience.
Our primary focus is providing you with an exceptional journey throughout this special process.
STEP 1: BOOKING WITH US
Once you have secured the date for your special day, it's the perfect time to reach out to us. We highly recommend booking with us at least 10 months in advance to ensure that we can dedicate ourselves to creating your dream cake. Once we have confirmed our availability, we can begin with an initial discussion about your wedding ideas, allowing us to envision and bring to life the perfect cake for you.
To secure your chosen date in our diary, we kindly request a £100 deposit, which is non-refundable and non-transferable. This deposit will be deducted from your final quote, which you will receive after our consultation. Once the deposit is paid, you can relax, knowing that your date is reserved exclusively for you. You have the option to pay the deposit through BACS or in cash. Detailed payment instructions and our terms and conditions will be provided in our initial email correspondence.
Please keep in mind that our availability fills up quickly, especially during peak wedding season. Therefore, we encourage you to contact us as early as possible, without hesitation, to secure your desired date.
If you would like to try some of our cake first before you pay your deposit our cake sample boxes are £30 to purchase. We can post these out to you. Our boxes contain 6 slices of cake and you can choose the flavours you would like to try by looking through our menu section on our website.
STEP 2: YOUR CONSULTATION
Approximately 6-8 months prior to your wedding day, we will schedule a meeting to delve into all the exciting details surrounding your wedding. We will discuss your ideas, colour schemes, and even explore any samples you may have, such as ribbons or bridesmaids' dresses. These elements play a vital role in helping us create a comprehensive vision of your big day, ensuring that your cake seamlessly aligns with your chosen theme. If you're unsure about the design at this stage, no worries! We are here to offer guidance and ideas to help you make a decision.
To further aid your inspiration, we have an array of display cakes for you to admire. These showcase the intricate details that we pour into every cake, while also sparking creativity in your own design choices.
During the consultation, which typically lasts around an hour, we will cover various aspects of your cake, including sizes, flavors, design elements, colours, and any other questions you may have. This dedicated time allows us to fully understand your preferences and ensure that every aspect of your cake is discussed thoroughly.
STEP 3: CAKE TASTING
We provide two options for your cake taster box, depending on your preferences:
Option one is to purchase a taster box before booking with us. If you decide to proceed with booking your wedding cake after trying the samples, the cost of the taster box will be deducted from the total price of your cake.
Option two is to book your wedding cake with us first. During your consultation, we will provide you with a cake sample box to take home and enjoy at your leisure.
Before your consultation, you can select six flavours from our menu page that you would like to try. Feel free to choose different flavors for each tier of your cake. With our wide array of delectable cake flavors, we understand that deciding which ones to try can be a delightful challenge!
Following your consultation, we will send you an email containing a sketch of your cake and a detailed quote that reflects the discussions and decisions made during the consultation. This allows you to review and consider the cake design and pricing at your convenience.
STEP 4: YOUR BIG DAY IS ALMOST HERE
Once you have sent us an email, approved your design, and selected your desired flavours, payment for your cake is due one month prior to your wedding date. By confirming via email, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions, ensuring a smooth and organized process.
We understand that the time leading up to your big day can be hectic, but rest assured that everything has been taken care of.
During the week preceding your wedding, we will coordinate with your venue to arrange the delivery of your cake. This ensures that every detail is managed, allowing you to fully enjoy your incredible day without any worries. We will not leave until we are confident that everything is perfect!
After your wedding, you will have cherished memories and stunning images of your special day, and we would be absolutely thrilled if you chose to share them with us.
Leftover cake? please note that all our wedding cakes are freshly baked. If you find yourself with remaining cake, simply wrap it in cling film or store it in an airtight container and freeze it for up to three months. That way, you can indulge in delicious cake whenever you crave it!
